This is the establishment of the South Coast / Santa Ana Chamber of Commerce chapters of the Business Emergency Response Team.  Pricing is aggressive, location is convenient, time of the classes is designed to be appropriate, and the First Responders we have retained for you are top-notch.   With your onvolvement we expect that this will be a very strong team.  Please encourage people to sign up early so that we can decide if one or two classes are required.

In the event of an emergency, preparedness and quick decision-making are major factors to survival and recovery. Skills and management in the workplace should not only go as far as meeting deadlines and reaching quotas. A bigger approach to SUSTAINABLE business development would mean empowering the workplace to be equipped on handling unprecedented catastrophes. And this is where BERT comes in... 

The purpose of BERT International, Inc. (Business Emergency Response Team) is to provide businesses with the necessary knowledge, expertise and tools to prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergency incidents. 

This is accomplished through empowering employees and leveraging business relationships through training and guidance by BERT professionals who are subject matter experts in public safety.

 

This coming June 14- July 26, (ALL THURSDAYS) jointly with the South Coast Metro Business Alliance and The Santa Ana Chamber of Commerce, we are offering having the next B.E.R.T. Academy class.  As a participant you will likely experience a life-altering program for you, your family, your employees, business and Community;  and you will walk-out as a B.E.R.T. certified graduate. 

Note: There will be NO class on the holiday week of July 4th.

THE B.E.R.T. ACADEMY CLASS V IS JOINTLY SPONSORED BY: 

                                                           

Enrolling in a BERT Academy Class you will experience: 

Through an intensive FEMA-BASED hands-on training curriculum, representatives from local companies learn from a First-responders’ perspective what to expect during and after a catastrophe.  The Academy culminates in a full-scale simulation and graduation.  Students learn to work with other local graduates together to handle a catastrophe – much like what would be required in a real emergency.

Curriculum

BERT Academy Participants will cover the following material:

1. Disaster Preparedness
2. Fire Safety
3. CPR/First Aid/AED (American Heart Assn)
4. Light Search and Rescue Operations
5. BERT Organization
6. Disaster Psychology
7. Terrorism and BERT
8. P/BRT:  Police/Business Readiness training (new!)
9. Course Review and Disaster Simulation
