The All-Star Blue Ribbon Tasting will give you a glimps of and get you into the mood for the upcoming Wisconsin State Fair, August 2 - 12, 2012 It is also a fundraising event that enables the Foundation to continue to support scholarships, Wisconsin State Fair Day Camp and improvements at the Tommy G. Thompson Youth Center at Wisconsin State Fair Park.
With the support of the Wisconsin State Fair Dairy Promotion Board and Wisconsin State Fair Park, our 2011 Tasting was a success, and we want to thank them for continuing their support of our 2012 All-Star Blue Ribbon Tasting.
The new VIP Reception at 5:00pm is a great opportunity for a limited number of people to be able to meet Wisconsin Vintners, Wisconsin Cheesemakers, Wisconsin Specialty Meat Processors and Wisconsin Craft Brewers. They will answer questions and give insight into their sampling selections. The VIP Reception begins with the tapping of a Spceial Reserve Beer.
The main event begins at 6pm, celebrating Wisconsin's Best Cheeses, Specialty Meats, Wines and Craft Brews combined with a "small plate" menu to satisfy everyone's appetite. Sample to your heart's content, choose your favorites and find out where you can purchase locally or on-line. Of course, we will have a dessert table complete with Cream Puffs and other sweets paired with select Wisconsin dessert wine and craft beer.
As you sample and sip, you can enjoy the award winning junior artwork from the 2012 State Fair Young People's Art Competition. judged in April. This is only a sampling of the artwork, submitted by Wisconsin students, that will be on display during the Wisconsin State Fair.
Our silent auction will include all of the Wisconsin Wines, Beers, Meats and Cheeses. You will have many Blue Ribbon baskets to choose from along with other auction items.
