Please join us for our 10th Annual Water Festival!!

This year marks the 10th Annual Water Festival, and as in years past this will be a fun and informative opportunity for students and teachers alike to investigate and explore the importance of water, its uses, and conservation practices through dynamic activity stations. Since we know how valuable your time is and with the summer break fast approaching, we would like to go ahead and invite you register your next group of 5th grade students to participate in the Lewis and Clark Community College Annual Water Festival this fall.

The festival will take place on Friday, September 14th, 2012 at the Lewis and Clark campus in Godfrey, IL. It is our hope that this event will serve as the culmination of a week-long effort by teachers to educate their students on the vital role that water plays in our daily lives. To that end, teachers wishing for their class to attend the festival are required to attend the Teacher Workshop on Monday, September 10th, 2012. The workshop will provide valuable information and materials to prepare students for the fun and excitement of the Friday festival. Participating teachers will receive an innovative interdisciplinary approach to water studies, reimbursement for substitutes, Continuing Professional Development Credits, and classroom enrichment materials. The event is limited to 20 teachers, so register now to ensure your attendance! Please register your school by May 11th for your chance to participate. We will notify teachers by May 18th of their acceptance to the 10th Annual Water Festival.

We expect more teachers to apply than we can accommodate, so submitting an application form does not guarantee acceptance.

Register Here! Thank you for your interest.

Sincerely,
