Underwater Robots, Exploration and

STEM at the Shore

August 6th-9th, 2012

Join us this summer for an exciting multi-day marine science workshop focused on new technologies, exploration and STEM education!  Ever wonder how to use an underwater robot to teach water quality or math?  How about using remote sensing to teach science?  We'll focus on these and other new technologies as we explore the marine environment discovering great ways to excite and engage your students.  You'll get a chance to build your own remotely operated vehicle as you gain skills and content knowledge to bring back to the classroom.

Workshop will include field and classroom activities, presentations by scientists and researchers along with lots of resources and lessons to help you enhance your teaching.  Sponsored by Jacques Cousteau National Estuarine Research Reserve, The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey and Rutgers University.

Registration Fee is $60 and checks must be received by July 31st.  Registration fee includes: lunch for 4 days, resource materials, and continuing education credits. Space is limited to 15 teachers!
