Memorial Day 2012

What better place to remember the men and women who served in our military than at the Soldiers' Home? Join us on Memorial Day for tours of the Cottage and the rare opportunity to take a guided tour of the USSAH National Cemetery (predecessor of Arlington National Cemetery). Wreath laying ceremonies will take place at the Soldiers' Home and Cemetery to remember our fallen soldiers. Enjoy the beautiful grounds and cool breezes this hilltop location is known for! Bring a picnic lunch and relax on the south lawn or at our picnic tables.

Cottage Tours: On the hour. First tour - 11:00am, last tour - 3:00pm / regular price
Cemetery Tours: 11:30am and 1:30pm / FREE / tours begin at bandstand adjacent to Cottage
Wreath Laying at the Soldiers' Home: 11:15am
Wreath Laying at the Cemetery: 12:15pm

Memorial Day activities, sponsored by President Lincoln's Cottage and the Armed Forces Retirement Home, are FREE and open to the public. Reservations are requested but not required.
