 2013 Best Business Woman of Pittsburgh

  • Dr. Shellie Hipsky, Inspiring Lives, LLC. As an active volunteer since the age of 12, Dr. Hipsky has dedicated her life to serving the needs of women and children internationally through her TV show "Inspiring Lives with Dr. Shellie, 5 books, over 100 articles, and in the trenches service work in homeless shelters, classrooms, and homes for peole with AIDS/HIV and special needs.
  • Rose Morris, The Safety Sleeper. As a mother of a child with special needs, Rose had to cope with her son's sleeping issues. She invented a safe, enclosed portable bed, and decided to offer it to families with similar needs.
  • Dr. Queeney Tang, Ariix. This international business woman and network marketing leader continues to inspires colleagues and team members while sharing her passion and insight about wellness, diet, supplements and overall health from a global perspective.
  • Debi Arnett, Who's Your brother.  Who's Your Brother is a non profit organization that encourages people everywhere to build up their communities as they build up each other, sharing their talents and resources with one another to promote a peace and a brotherhood among our fellow neighbors that we have not yet known.

 

Community Service Award presented by WSBA

  • Rose Morris, Fund It Forward - a non-profit she co-founded to partner with families of special needs children. 
  • Jennifer Redfield, The Project to End Human Trafficking (PEHT) is a non-profit organization that was founded in 2004 as part of the anti-slavery movement. 
  • Debi Arnett, Who's Your brother.  Who's Your Brother is a non profit organization that encourages people everywhere to build up their communities as they build up each other, sharing their talents and resources with one another to promote a peace and a brotherhood among our fellow neighbors that we have not yet known.

 

 2013 WSBA Business Woman of the Year

  • Annette Locke, Premier Design Jewelry. Annette has been nominate for her commitment to mentor other WSBA members and the continued growth of ther business.
  • Cassie Gillen, Cassandra's Florals. Cassie has been recognized for her perseverance to build her business while dealing with some tough personal issues, but continuing to support other women in business as their grow their business.
  • Beth Egan, Healthy Homes- Healthy Families. Beth has been recognized for her commitment to her family and business, and her tireless efforts to educate all about the toxins in our homes and enviroment. She is also recognized for her consistent commitment to WSBA and it's members.
  • Kelly Bauman, New Hope Functional Medicine and Chiropractic.  Kelly has been recognized for the rapid growth of her business, her balance of family and business, and her commitment to reach out to many WSBA members.

Mindmapping is a great tool to plan any type of business strategy. It is a graphical representation of your thoughts that can be created using pencil and paper or computer app's. While Mindmapping is great fro many types of strategies, we will be focusing on Creating a Strategy to share Valuable Content On-Line whether you blog or not in just a few minutes a day.
