Your Guide to Starting a 501c3

Session I: Uncover the “hot spots” in the 501c3 application (2 hrs.)

During this session you will receive an interpretation of the IRS questions; uncovering crucial questions to avoid errors. You will also be introduced to the significance of your mission and vision, as well as competition for the dollars.

Session II: What you need to know to set up a 501c3 (2 hrs.)

During this session you will learn simple techniques to expedite approval process. You will also be presented with an overall structure of 501c3 organizations, fees associated and timing, qualifications, scams and an in-depth look into establishing your vision and mission statements.

Session III: The nuts and bolts of a 501c3 organization (2 hrs.)

Set up your non-profit the right way! During this session you will be presented with accounting and policy requirements related to 501c3 organizations. You will also learn about financial statements and board representation. In addition, you will learn how to select and develop your board of directors and create a succession plan. An accountant and attorney will be there to answer questions.

Time: 2-4pm

Fee: $30/session or $75 for all 3
