Participate in a simulated classroom using Unique Learning System, a standards based curriculum, and Classroom Suite 4, a software solution that provides instruction in the areas of early literacy, reading, writing and mathematics. This is a unique one-day hands-on training provided by training consultants Kathy Staugler of N2Y, Inc. and Suzanne Feit of IntelliTools, Inc.

Participants will learn to:

• Provide students with flexible and differentiated instruction
• Align content to the ELA Common Core Standards
• Create learning activities with low and high tech formats
• Collect data to guide instruction


Dates:

• Tuesday, September 18 - 8 am to 3 pm
• Wednesday, September 19 - 8 am to 3 pm
• Thursday, September 20 - 8 am to 3 pm

Workshop repeats each day. Lunch to be provided. Contact hours will be awarded.

About the presenters:

Kathy Staugler
During Kathy's 35 years in education, Kathy worked as a speech-language pathologist, special education teacher and regional consultant for assistive technology. Her primary focus has been on students with significant disabilities and the development of strategies to enable students to participate, communicate and make progress within their educational programs. Kathy joined the N2Y team in 2007. She is the author of the N2Y's Unique Learning System curriculum.

Suzanne Feit
Suzanne is an internationally acclaimed workshop presenter, training and speaker. Suzanne is responsible for developing curriculum materials and adaptations for students with special needs. Suzanne specializes in hands-on training and curriculum intervention strategies. She is the author of technology-based materials for language arts and math and has been in the special needs field for over 30 years. Suzanne has been a National Consultant and Training Specialist for the past 20 years.
