Slugs to Roadrunners: How to Help Your Child Develop Self-Regulation Skills

Five WaysDo you ever feel like your child is running a constant race? Like you can’t get your child moving? Like your child goes from slug to roadrunner in a flash? Like your child has difficulty controlling their own emotions and you don’t know how to help them?

Join us, Monday, June 11th, for a night of parent education and training on how using the principles of the Alert ProgramŽ, “How Does Your Engine Run?” and other self-regulation tools can teach your children to manage their energy levels to be Just Right! This seminar is an overview of the Alert ProgramŽ and how sensory processing skills will be used during Alert Program summer groups and individual therapy at Bothell Pediatric & Hand Therapy.

Come and learn about the steps to teaching kids self-regulation and how these steps can be fun.   You will leave with activities that you can do that same evening with your child to change their energy levels.  Learn what you can do to help your child’s nervous system calm down in order to get ready for bedtime or how to wake up and be ready for a day of learning. Parents will learn about what their children are going through by exploring their own sensory preferences and how those affect their daily choices and interactions with others.  If you have already signed up your child for our Alert Summer Groups or want to know more before deciding if they are a good fit for your child, you do not want to miss this event.

Space is limited so sign up early!
