6-9-12-How to Survive a Health Inspection: Guide for Food Service Facility- 

Do you get nervous when the Health inspector walks through your front door? Do you want to know what the Health Inspector is looking for when he's going through your facility? 

We will discuss why food safety is important, why we need food safety regulations & inspections and how people get sick from food. We will also walk through a routine food facility inspection. The goal of the class is to familiarize the food facilities with the inspection process so that they will be more likely to pass the inspection with no violations!

 Your Presenters: Daniel Phillips and Kislev Ang:

Daniel Phillips:Daniel has 20 years of experience in the field of Environmental and Safety regulatory compliance for private industry and government agencies. Over that time he has conducted countless inspections, written and implemented programs for various companies, trained thousands of individuals and has enforced Health Safety laws for local jurisdictions.Daniel has a BS and MS in Environmental and Occupational Health from California State University, Northridge, and a MBA from California State University, Long Beach. He has extensive experience implementing successful safety programs in companies such as Panda Express and UCLA Medical Center. He understands the importance of regulatory compliance in the success of a company.

Kslev Ang:

Kislev Ang has over 10 years experience working in the field of Environmental Health and understands the importance of a cooperative working relationship between the Private Industry and the Public Agencies. She has very broad experience from working in a laboratory as a Microbiologist to working in an enforcement capacity for the City of Los Angeles. Kislev has conducted countless compliance inspections for the Bureau of Sanitation whose mission is to keep the beneficial uses of all our surface waters. In addition, she plays a vital role in the implementation of Emergency Business Plans for Waste Generating Facilities within the City of LA. Kislev has a BS and an MS in Environmental and Occupational Health from California State University, Northridge.
