2012 Nighthawk High School Girls Golf Camp

July 23 - 27, 2012

The goal of the program is to emphasize sportsmanship, rules and etiquette, competition, and a passion for the game of golf. The Nighthawk Girls Golf Camp will provide a comprehensive training curriculum which includes lessons on patience, focus, discipline, honesty, and mental toughness. The camp is  designed to enhance your understanding of the rules of golf and increase your ability in every major facet of the game. 

Camp Cost: $150

This fee includes customized golf instruction by PGA professionals, drills, competitive games, course play and course management, lunch, Beyond Charity Classic Tournament participation for the entire week on one of Tucson’s premier golf courses.

 SCHEDULE

Monday-Thursday (7/23-26): Training Camp

  • 8:00-8:30AM:       Warm-up and Safety Talk
  • 8:30-11:30AM:     Individual Instruction & tips, Group Activities, Drills, & Competitive Games
  • 11:30-12:30PM:   Lunch Break and Beverages
  • 12:30-2:30PM:     Course Management: 9 Hole Course Play

Friday (7/27): The Beyond Charity Classic: Nighthawk High School Girls Golf nvitational

  • 7:00-8:00AM:       Breakfast, Registration, Warm-up
  • 8:00-12:00PM:     Tournament
  • 12:30-3:00PM:     Awards Luncheon & Raffle Prizes

NOTES & DISCLOSURES

  • The cost per person is $150 (with a 8 person min., no max).  This fee includes customized golf instruction by PGA professionals, drills, competitive games, course play and course management, snacks, and lunch on one of Tucson’s premier golf courses, and Beyond Charity Classic Tournament participation for the week. 
  • There are a limited number of scholarships available.  Priority is given to future Nighthawks; however, anyone is eligible to receive a scholarship.  In order to apply for a scholarship please send your request to the "Team Contact" listed at the top before July 20, 2012.  You will receive a response quickly with criteria, requirements, and instructions.  We are asking those who receive scholarships to commit to the entire camp.
  • The Golf Professionals from Tucson National  will not interfere with current private coaches training, but will help provide guidance to the girls on how to play the game better, course management, guided drills to improve their game, and working as a team. 
  • If a girl does not have a private coach the Tucson National instructors are qualified and available to give instruction during the camp for those who request it at no extra charge.
  • For any of our activities, we are developing sponsorship to help with scholarships if needed on a case by case basis. We don’t won’t any of the girls to miss this or any  opportunity.  
  • It is understood that this event is not an official school event, this a privately funded and individual participation is voluntary, just as joining one of the junior golf associations or local clubs.
  • While this camp is designed to support the IRHS Girls Golf Varsity Team members (and potential team members), this is not an official school program and privately organized.  The camp is open to other school team members and indiviudals (girls ages 13-18).
  • Furthermore, participation in this event does not guareentee a position on any team.  For the IRHS Girls Golf Team, offcial tryouts are held during the first few weeks of the season to determine who is selected to be on the Nighthawk Varsity Team.
  • Participation in off-season fundraising and/or camps does not guarantee a spot on the roster or playing time on the IRHS Girls Golf Team.  
  • A prospective student or a current student related to any staff member or trustee of GRS, participating in any collaborative event or activity organized and managed by GRS, cannot accept any benefits from funds donated, or any proceeds from these charitiable activities regardless of the value of the benefit.  If such relationships exist, the related GRS Staff Member or trustee is responsible to disclose this conflict of interest in writing to GRS Accounting Department and the student will be excluded as a beneficiary.
