This 5-day training is a high-energy, high-quality synthesis of years of conflict resolution experience.  The program includes conflict theory and styles, active listening techniques, trust building, collaborative negotiations, the mediation process and the mediator’s role and ethics.  It provides an interest-based and facilitative approach to conflict resolution that empowers people to resolve differences with the aid of skilled mediators.

The material will be presented through lecture, demonstration and large and small group exercises including simulated mediations.   Many experienced mediators will act as presenters and individual coaches, which allows participants to experience many diverse styles of mediating.
