Mulch Madness at McKinley Park!

Grab your wheelbarrow and join the after-work mulching party at McKinley Park. Volunteers are needed to help care for the park by applying mulch rings around the park trees:  this event is the last in a series of 4 Mulch Madness events!  Great for families and groups. The event is supported by the City of Sacramento Parks and Recreation Department and the Sacramento Tree Foundation.  Mulch is provided by the City of Sacramento Urban Forestry Service.

If you don’t have a wheelbarrow, just show up! The Sacramento Tree Foundation will have extra wheelbarrows, gloves and rakes.  Meet at the big pile of mulch (chipped up bark) near the library.

We want to ensure that your time with us is a success!  Please prepare for this event in the following ways:

• Have a hearty lunch
• Wear weather appropriate clothing and closed toed shoes
• Bring along a water bottle
• You may want to bring gloves if you have them
• Bring your completed Volunteer Release form
