Wallicut River Volunteer Work Party
Ilwaco, Washington
Saturday, June 23rd
9:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Volunteering to help restore Land Trust properties is a wonderful way to enjoy the outdoors and help protect important habitat.
Lend a hand cleaning up one of our newest conservation projects in Ilwaco, Washington. This 117-acre gem is surrounded on three sides by the Wallicut and Columbia Rivers. We'll start with an introduction to the property and a short tour. Then, we will clean up the old homesite and cut scotch broom. This will help set the stage for restoration projects in the next two years.
Meet at the property at 400 Stringtown Road Ilwaco, WA at 9:30 a.m. and we'll finish up by 1 p.m.
Wear long pants and bring a long sleeved shirt that you don't mind getting dirty. Wear knee boots or sturdy hiking shoes/boots. Bring rain gear, garden gloves, and a water bottle. Water refills and snacks will be provided.
Live in the Astoria area? A carpool will leave the Cannery Lofts at 9:00 a.m. 3930 Abbey Lane Astoria, OR 97103. Sign up so we know who to expect.
