Annual Railway Heritage Preservation Conference 2012

Making the Past Relevant for Tomorrow

Sponsored by the Tourist Railway Association and the Association of Railway Museums and hosted by Exporail, the Canadian Railway Museum

Don't miss this exciting event in beautiful Montreal! There will be two optional pre-conference trips on November 5th and 6th. The first is a scenic trip though Quebec's Eastern Townships aboard the Orford Express with a gourmet lunch. The second is a trip to Ottawa and tours of the Canada Museum of Science and Technology and the James Bartleman Archive Centre, a ride on the O Train, and a visit to see the restoration of the trolley 696 project.

Spouses and guests will want to participate in the Accompanying Programs. The first will be on November 6 on the pre-conference trip to Ottawa, Accompanying Program participants will visit the parliament Buildings, the canadian Museum of Civilization, have lunch and visit another attraction, all this is included in the pre-conference trip fee.

A full conference Accompanying Program is being offered from Tuesday evening through Saturday’s Banquet, cost for this is $ 325 per person.

The conference will begin with a reception the evening of Tuesday, November 6th.

You're sure to enjoy the many excellent educational sessions in three sub-categories - Administration, Railways, and Trolleys - as well as a visit to Exporail, the Canadian Railway Museum. As always there will be plenty of time to visit with one another and enjoy good food and good fellowship.
