The Center for Global Impact is a faith-based 501(c)3 relief and development organization, registered in the State of Indiana, designed to creatively connect financial and human resources with social and humanitarian projects around the world that address poverty disease and injustice. CGI is committed to helping people in the West understand the reality, complexity and ramifications of poverty in the developing world by creating opportunities for involvement based upon unique gifts, skills, interests, and networks.  We encourage people to have not only a heart for the poor, but a mind for the poor.

So how does CGI Empower the Poor?  Please read on to learn how!

byTavi exists to EDUCATE women in crisis through vocational training, EMPOWER them to protect and provide for their families, and EQUIP them to break the cycle of generational poverty.

  • In the poorest areas of Phnom Penh, Cambodia, families are one crisis away from selling their children into trafficking to provide for the rest of their family.
  • byTavi trains these women how to sew fashion items and then provides jobs to them.  These items are sold here in the States.  100% of the proceeds return to the program and the women.
  • To meet these women or to shop visit www.bytavi.com.

cgidaughters

cgidaughters is a vocational training program in Cambodia that was begun in partnership with Sophia’s Bridal in Greenwood, IN.

  • Many of the Daughters have been rescued out of situations of trafficking and/or extreme poverty.
  • The girls live in a residential facility in Phnom Penh where they are part of a two year program to become professional seamstresses.
