TBD
Denver, CO
When is the workshop being held?
The workshop will be held September 25-27, 2012, in Denver, exact location TBD. The seminar will be held from 7:30 am – 4:30 pm each day. Participants are expected to attend all three days of the workshop. There is a $45 administrative fee for course materials excluded from the grant. Breakfast, lunch and snack will be provided each day.
What will I learn in this course?
This three-day highly interactive workshop will focus on developing coaches to support frontline leadership development and ongoing success as they implement a quality project within your organization. Coaching is an integral piece in the formula for consolidating new behaviors into the available skill set for leaders. Based on the lessons learned from several HRSA funded grants, we know that having internal coaches from the senior leaders within organization exponentially increases the long-term impact of leadership training. We did not have the funds in the original PIN grant to offer this training and have identified a unique funding opportunity to provide this to your organization; therefore, only Senior Leaders from our PIN Project agency partners will have the opportunity to participate in training intended to provide coaching directly to frontline leaders.
What will I need to do to prepare for this workshop?
Each participant will be expected to meet weekly with the frontline leader they coach specifically related to leadership development for 30 minutes in person or by phone with their leader for a minimum of six months following the class. And, to help integrate and develop coaching skills for the senior leaders, each participant will be provided a coach via group monthly telephonic coaching sessions.
For the best outcomes, we prefer that coaches not work with frontline leaders that are their direct-reports for this project. Coaches can be from any senior leadership position within the home care agency and is not limited to nursing leaders.
Upon registration, a short book will be mailed to you. We ask that you read the book prior to starting the workshop.
