September 26-27 VDOT Intermediate Work Zone class 

The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) has established a mandatory Work Zone Traffic Safety Training Program (referred to by VDOT as the Work Zone Traffic Control Training Program or WZTCTP) based on Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) regulations.

 The VDOT Intermediate Work Zone Certification Class is a two-day training course designed for construction supervisors (foremen, superintendents, and private engineers or hired consultants) responsible for on-site inspection and placement of traffic control  devices around state highways.

 The course includes: 1) Continental breakfast (coffee and donuts), 2) Lunch, 3) A copy of the VDOT "Virginia Work Area Protection Manual", 4) A laminated cerficate of completion that serves as a temporary credential, and 5) The official VDOT Certification Card that is mailed to the participant from HRUHCA after the association receives it from VDOT).
