Eva Moskowitz is a New York City public school alumna, public school parent, and founder and CEO of Success Academy Charter Schools, a 14-school network boasting one of the top-performing schools in New York State. In late June, she released her new book Mission Possible: How the Secrets of the Success Academies Can Work in Any School. A former three-term New York City Council member, she has also served as chairperson of the council's Education Committee and has a national reputation as an advocate for school rigor and resource improvement. Eva earned a PhD in history at Johns Hopkins University and taught history at the University of Virginia, Vanderbilt University, and the City University of New York. She is the author of In Therapy We Trust: America's Obsession with Self-Fulfillment (Johns Hopkins University Press).
