Piedmont Parent's 3rd Annual Moms@Work Luncheon

Join us for our 3rd Annual Moms@Work Luncheon to be held Tuesday, Sept. 25 at the Benton Convention Center in Winston-Salem.

Our celebration of working moms and the companies that promote work/life balance kicks off with Coffee & Contacts at 11 a.m., a networking hour to mingle and visit exclusive vendor tables.

Enjoy a fabulous lunch and be inspired by our keynote speaker, WGHP's Cindy Farmer.

Farmer has been an anchor for WGHP for 15 years and is very active in the community. She's a Girl Scout leader with the Peaks to Piedmont Girl Scout Council and is a founding board member of the NC Triad Affiliate of Susan G. Komen

for the Cure. These efforts were recongnized in 2010 when she was honored as an Outstanding Lifetime Volunteer. She also volunteers at Southeast Middle and Southeast High School in Guilford County, serving as a member of the School Leadership Team and the Building Advisory Teams at both schools.

Farmer plays USTA tennis competitively and also has a passion for photography. She says her favorite subjects are "the gifts we are given each day," although you can often find her capturing images of the sports her daughters play.

Farmer says she lives by the words "accentuate the positive" and tries to capture that every day in her newscasts.
