2012 Western Regional Careers in Student Affairs Day

The Western Regional Careers in Student Affairs Day (WRCSAD) is a multifaceted professional development event that seeks to promote the profession to talented and diverse individuals, and to retain current professionals by meeting their career oriented professional development needs. This day-long conference is targeted to a wide audience including undergraduate students, graduate students, as well as new and experienced professionals in student affairs. Cal Poly Pomona will be hosting the 9th annual Western Regional Careers in Student Affairs Day on Friday, October 26, 2012.

Featured Speaker: 

Dr. Audrey Yamagata-NojiDr. Audrey Yamagata-Noji, Vice President for Student Affairs, Mount San Antonio College

Dr. Audrey Yamagata-Noji currently serves as Vice President of Student Services, Mt. San Antonio College. Audrey received a Ph.D. in education from Claremont Graduate University, and a master’s degree in counseling and bachelor’s degree in psychology from California State University, Long Beach. She is a licensed marriage, family and child therapist. Additionally, Dr. Yamagata-Noji is serving as President of the Board of Trustees for the Santa Ana Unified School District. First elected in 1987, Audrey served for three consecutive terms on the School Board through 2000. In November 2002, Dr. Yamagata-Noji was elected to the School Board for a fourth term. Dr. Yamagata-Noji is a trainer for Leadership Education for Asian Pacifics, Inc (LEAP).  Together with co-coordinator Henry Gee, Audrey directs the annual Leadership Development Program in Higher Education – a partnership effort between APAHE and LEAP.

Conference & Traveling Tips: 

  • Don’t forget to print and bring your conference ticket.
  • Please try to carpool. 
  • Park in the parking structure off Kellogg Drive.  Visitors may purchase a $5 pass at the yellow kiosks.  For more information on parking and alternative transportation, click here
  • CSU employees and students do not need to purchase additional permits.  Make sure you display your CSU parking pass in a visible location.  Staff and faculty have the option to park in Lot C across from the structure.
  • Wear comfortable shoes!
  • Follow the balloons/signs towards the center of the campus.  Check-in will be located inside the Bronco Student Center in front of Ursa Major on the second floor.
  • We will not be accepting walking-ins on the day of the conference due to capacity.
