David Groff scouts and develops fiction and nonfiction writers for the company, provides editorial expertise to company clients, and offers editorial services to outside clients.

David Groff is looking for compellingly written narrative—all kinds of fiction (except fantasy and sci-fi), memoir, and literary journalism—along with well-focused books on topics such as parenting, business, politics, history, science, etc.

An agent with Sullivan Maxx Literary Agents Group, Lee has worked in New York city honing her skills in marketing, public relations, proofreading, and editing

It's Time to Get Serious about Publishing

Welcome to the new complex world of publishing. The Master of Arts in Professional Writing Program and The Georgia Writers Association have teamed up to present this premier event for writers on the campus of Kennesaw State University. The Publishers, Agents & Media Institute is a one-of-a kind conference that will draw from the talents of nationally recognized publishers, self-publishers, social media and digital media experts to present a day of workshops.  Register for the Institute and sign up for 15 minutes with an agent to pitch your writing project.

DISCOUNTS TO KSU OR GWA MEMBERS DO NOT APPLY TO AGENT FEES OF $50.00. This is a separate registration and a separate fee. You must register for the entire conference to make an agent appointment.

SPECIAL SAVINGS FOR KSU STAFF/STUDENTS/FACULTY ONLY.

This event is partially sponsored by the College of Humanities and Social Science. KSU staff, students, and faculty will have free admission to this event with ID at the registration. However, the Agent appointments are NOT FREE to KSU and must be made by October 1, 2012. SELECT THE "KSU ONLY" registration for Agent Appointments on the registration page.

AGENT APPOINTMENTS

Registration to the conference does not include the 15 minute agent appointment.

To meet with an agent and pitch your book idea select this option when you register. Deadline for agent appointments is October 1, 2012—NO appointments may be made after this date.

A pitch meeting with an agent lasts 15 minutes and cost $50. Manuscripts must be sent by October 1, 2012 to Dr. Jim Elledge.

Registration for Conference is open to the morning of the event. Register early and save $50.00 All prices at the door are $150. This does not include an agent appointment.
