Rally Obedience Orientation and Skills Assessment
Come and find out if your dog is ready for our Rally Obedience Competition class. This free orientation will give you information about how the class is organized. You will learn if you and your dog are ready to participate in this advanced class.
At the skills assessment you will learn if your dog has already mastered the skills needed to be successful in the obedience class: walking briefly on a loose leash, sit and down on cue, stay in place for 20 seconds with mild distractions, come when called with mild distractions.
All skills are taught using a marker signal (verbal or clicker) to communicate when your dog completes a correct behavior. Do you have an introductory understanding of how to use a clicker? Do you know when to click and when to reward? Do you avoid distracting body movements when you use the clicker? Come to the free Orientation and Skills Assessment to find out if you and your dog are ready for this class.
This is a free orientation seminar. The next 6-week Rally Obedience class will start on September 12th. The cost for the class is $120. Greater St. Louis Training club members receive a 20% discount.
Please note, we accept more individuals for the orientation seminar than there are spots available in the class. Students will be enrolled in the class on a first come, first serve basis using the date of registration for the orientation seminar.
