2012 Northern Buy Pinal Tips
Questions to ask buyers:
You should do research on each company ahead of time so that you can identify areas where your product or service might fit the buyers needs. You might also want to ask about the specifics of the procurement process for each company. Ask questions about any requirements that vendors might need to meet, or any other steps you need to take in order for the company to consider purchasing from your company.
You only get one chance to make a first impression. Be sure to dress appropriately for the meeting. Our event is business casual. When introducing yourself, remember to make eye contact, and offer a firm handshake. Remember to smile and keep a friendly demeanor. Listen attentively to others as they are speaking. Even if you don’t think someone is interested in your particular product or service, you should still be enthusiastic in telling them about it. They might know someone else who would be interested. Don’t forget to hand out your business card and obtain business cards from those to whom you speak. This will be the key in allowing you to conduct appropriate follow-up with each contact that you make during the event.
What to do after the event:
You will want to be sure to follow up with each contact that you make. You have the option of calling, sending an email or a hand written note. Each method has advantages and disadvantages, but whichever method you choose, be sure to call or send a note soon after the event.

The 2012 Northeastern Pinal Business & Technology Expo offers a unique opportunity for Small Businesses in Pinal County. Small Businesses, with an emphasis on Women/Minority/Disabled/Veteran-Owned businesses are invited to apply for an opportunity to meet with large corporate and public agency buyers. The goal of the 2012 Northern Pinal Business & Techology Expo is to provide small businesses an opportunity to make personal contacts with people who buy your products and/or services.
The event is like "speed-dating" for businesses. Participating small businesses are matched with buyers from big business and public agencies. Small business representatives have a prescribed time period to meet face-to-face with potential buyers of their goods and services. This "open door" gives the small business person a chance to let potential buyers see who they are and to determine if the product or service fits their needs.
The event will also feature a Vendor Display area where businesses will have the opportunity to promote their business to all participants. We are also featuring training opportunities focused on business and technology.
