 The committee has worked diligently preparing this year's symposium featuring speakers, Steven Freed, RPh, CDE presenting "Managing Diabetes With the Numbers: Some You Know and Some You Don't"; Megrette Fletcher, M.Ed., RD, CDE presenting "A Mindful Eating Approach to Eat What You Love, Love What You Eat With Diabetes"; Patti Geil, RD, CDE presenting "Delivering Dynamic Diabetes Education:Facilitating Behavior Change"; Karen Kemmis, PT, DPT, MS, CDE presenting "Excercise and Diabetes: Building a Successful Physical Activity Plan"; and Wolf Rinke, Ph.D., RD, CSP presenting "Positive Attitude: The Key to Wellness and Peak Performance".

EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITY

This program has been submitted for 5.0 contact hours (0.5 CEU's) through the Rhode Island Nursing Association (RISNA). The RI Department of Health is approved as a provider of continuing education in nursing by RISNA.  Participants must attend the entire symposium and complete a written evaluation to be awarded continuing education credits.

 The University of Rhose Island College of Pharmacy is accredited by the Accreditation Council on Pharmacy Education as a provider of pharmacy continuing education. Attendance and completion of evaluation forms and self-assessment tools are required for statement of credit, which must be completed online for 5.0 Contact Hours (0.5 CEUs).
