The Breakin9 Luncheon Panel:

As the non-profit sector continues to manage its way through the economic recession and government cutbacks to services, many organizations are faced with the unfortunate reality of suspending critical services or shutting their doors altogether. We will try to answer the question whether the need of the hour is simply to respond better to the crisis in management and fundraising practices, or to create new ways of meeting our missions and community needs that incorporate stronger advocacy for state and private resources?

In the midst of the recent closing of Hull House and other organizations, this year the Breakin' it Down Luncheon will gather key leaders to discuss lessons learned from this scenario and ways to move forward.  Moderated by Valerie Lies of the Donors Forum, panel members will provide insights to help organizations manage their resources and time.

Panelists include:

Karina Ayala Bermejo, General Counsel, Metropolitan Family Services
Jonathan Brereton, Chief Executive Officer, Accion Chicago
Andrea T. Mills, Director, Fiscal Management Associates, LLC
