  Mr. Joe Becton

“Africans and the Big Three Documents”

Mr. Becton is Founder and Director of Becton Tours and Historical Services.  He worked as a Park Ranger Supervisor at Independence National Historical Park from 2001-2009 and as Director of Visitor Services at Historic Fort Mifflin from 1989 to 1992.

Even though Africans were not participants in the important meetings they did create a presence in the “big three” documents.  Mr. Becton’s presentation will identify the National, International and the State Documents to see their impact on Liberty, Freedom and Independence. It will include discussion of the construction of the City, African Education and organizational development.
