CAAFI R&D Team Workshop 2012 Registration

We are pleased to invite you to the CAAFI R&D Team Workshop on November 28 and 29, 2012 in Arlington, Virginia.

One key outcome of the breakout session at the 2011 CAAFI General Meeting was an expressed desire for the CAAFI R&D team to take a role in synthesizing input from the wider community to identify the critical technology gaps that are preventing commercial roll-out of cheaper, more scalable production of alternative aviation fuels.

Since the R&D team consists of members from OEMs, the biofuels industries, feedstock producers, research organizations, universities and government, its findings of research needs and focal areas would represent the opinion of a significant cross-section of the community.  The team is in the process of developing a series of brief white papers addressing key topics proposed by the members.  These will be used to assist in the development of an official CAAFI position on research priorities.

The CAAFI R&D Team Workshop on November 28 and 29, 2012 will include presentations on the CAAFI R&D team white papers covering key issues facing the alternative aviation fuels industry, panels providing industry and stakeholder perspectives, and workshops to prioritize issues and develop CAAFI’s formal position on R&D needs. 

We will be soliciting input from the entire team. We are encouraging participation from the widest diversity of CAAFI R&D members possible and look forward to your thoughtful input on the challenges facing the advanced alternative jet fuel community.
