We invite all Naropa alumni to join us for this upcoming "Job Search Circle", a series of workshops to provide support, inspiration and education around the job search process.
Mondays from 12 noon - 1:30 p.m.
Water Street Building
2595 Canyon Boulevard, Suite 400, Boulder, CO 80302
This is the newest addition Naropa University, providing additional office space, where Alumni Relations is housed. It is on the corner of 26th and Canyon Boulevard. Two-hour parking is free and available on 26th Street. Naropa University offices are located on the 4th Floor.
We will explore:
Identifying Your Strengths
We will begin our time together and ground the experience using the inventory called "StrengthsQuest". Through this process you will discover your unique blend of natural talents you bring to everything you do.
Clarifying Your Vision
Finding your ideal job is much easier when you've clarified what you're looking for! This session will help you clarify your job search vision and find inspiration for your journey.
Cover Letters and Resumes
We will review the common myths and mistakes of resume and cover letter writing and discover how to bring your personal narrative into these job search tools.
Networking and Tapping into the Hidden Job Market
If over 70% of Colorado jobs are never posted, how do you find these "hidden" jobs? We'll discuss and brainstorm approaches to widening your job search beyond Craigslist! We'll discuss networking and what this really looks like and discover how to
network genuinely and authentically.
Do you remember those Warrior Exams, being required to be in the moment and speak on your feet? Explore how your Naropa education provides an excellent foundation to support your interview process. We'll discuss how to respond to typical interview questions, and then, practice...practice...practice!
This Circle is open to all Naropa alumni. It is designed for those alumni who are actively seeking employment.
We will need a minimum of four participants to run the series and we will keep the group to a maximum of 12 participants.
The cost is $25 per person for the entire workshop series, which supports part of the cost of the series and the online StrengthsQuest assessment. If this fee is preventing you from attending, please contact Melissa Holland, to explore options (firstname.lastname@example.org or 303.546.3597). We want this Circle to be open and accessible to everyone.
Registration is required. If you are interested but unable to attend at the time listed, please email Melissa Holland. Please register by clicking on the link below.
Note: This Job Search Circle is currently being offered as an in-person workshop. We intend to offer it in the future as an online webinar. Please share your interest in this online version with Melissa Holland.
