Session: "Recovery Mode: Responding to Market Trends and Economic Realities"    Adam is a recognized expert in market and financial analysis; positioning, repositioning, and marketing of real estate assets; consumer research; and corporate strategy development. He works throughout the United States, with particular depth of experience in mountain and coastal environments.  CM I .75

Andy Knudtsen, Managing Principal for Economic & Planning Systems

Session: "Housing Market Trends in Rocky Mountain Communities"                                                                                                                           EPS recently completed  a study for the Sonoran Institute that explores whether or not shifts in the housing market that have been observed nationally are happening locally.  This session will highlight the major findings of this project.  CM I 1

Evening Plenary:  "Poised for Success: Building Strong Communities in Today's Economy"                                                                                                                                 Joe’s cross-training in city planning in the public and private sectors, as well as private sector real estate finance has allowed him to develop specific analytic tools                                                 that have garnered national attention in  Planetizen, The Wall Street Journal, Atlantic                                               Cities, and the National Association of Realtors.  CM I .75 

Brian Cole, President of Building Communities, Inc.

Session: "The Changing Face of Economic Development"                                            Brian Cole is President of Building Communities, Inc., a national economic development strategic planning firm utilizing a unique planning methodology developed and explained by Brian in his book Building Communities: 25 Strategies to Advance America.  Brian has dedicated his professional life to helping communities secure economic sustainability as a local economic development professional, a state economic development officer, a county commission chairman, and as a private sector consultant. 

Susan Blansett, CEcD, Principal of R&M Resource Development

 Session: "Leading to Prosperity:  Community Leadership and Economic Development"                                                                                                                   Susan Blansett has more than 20 years of experience in economic, community and workforce development, and has been consulting since joining R&M Resource Development in 1999. As a Principal at R&M, Blansett specializes in strategy, fund-raising and investor/client relations for economic development agencies. She is also a top rated instructor of the Colorado Basic Economic Development Course.

Standard Registration Deadline: To avoid the day-of registration increased rate, the deadline to    register online is Thursday, October 25th. Prices will increase by $10 the day of the event at the door.

Accommodations

The Hotel Colorado is the host hotel for the summit, located in the heart of downtown Glenwood Springs.  A limited number of rooms for the summit are available at the rate of $85 for the night of 10/25.  If desired, guests staying for the summit are invited to stay at the Hotel Colorado the night of 10/26 at a rate of $99.
