August Seminar: Business Marketing

Telling the Story of Your Business

One of the most compelling reasons that consumers support locally owned businesses is the story behind the business.  Consumers are more aware than ever of who they are doing business with and they are eager to find out the personality and story of their local business owners.  Since the beginning of time, stories have ensured our survival and shaped our lives. The power of storytelling is stronger now than ever, especially if you want your business to stand out in the volume of information that is competing for our attention.

Local First Arizona is excited to have Park Howell, owner and founder of marketing firm Park & Co lead our August seminar focusing on getting your story heard.  Join us at SCF Arizona where Howell will explore the nine proven steps to crafting and telling compelling stories that will help you nudge the world in any direction you choose. In addition, you will receive a handy little "What's Your Story?" workbook that will help you apply this storytelling structure—dare we say, literally—to yourself, your company, product, service or cause.  Join us to find out how to tell your story!

About Park Howell:

Owner (although he says it owns him!) of a mid-sized ad agency in Phoenix, that doesn’t just produce award-winning campaigns. We create movements that ignite the growth of people, products, companies and causes that dare to make the world a better place. Since 1995, their goal has been to craft and tell compelling brand stories that turn heads and incite action. It must be working because Howell was honored as the “2010 Advertising Person of the Year,” by the American Advertising Federation – Metro Phoenix. This tremendous recognition came from working with a group of talented people on programs like Water – Use It Wisely. The water conservation campaign started in 1999, and has grown to include more than 400 private and public partners throughout North America making it the largest conservation outreach program of its kind in the world. Just Google “water conservation” and you’ll see what I mean….
