We are excited to announce a very special cooking class focused on Mexican cuisine.
Join Guest Chef Kris Rudolph, owner of La Cocina Cooking School in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico for an afternoon of Mexican food and culture. From time-honored traditional dishes to innovative salsas, margaritas, and mezcal, Kris's class offers a true culinary experience.
Kris opened El Buen Cafe in 1991 and began her hands-on Mexican Cooking School in 2005. Her culinary teaching career began at the University of Massachusetts where she received a master's degree in Hotel and REstaurant Administration. She has taught cooking throughout the states, most notably at the Institute of Culinary Education in NEw York City and various Whole Foods schools in Texas. Kris's classes and tours have been written up in Bon Appetit, Texas Monthly, Chile Pepper Magazine, the Miami Herald and the Washington Post. She's written three cookbooks, most notable is Mexican Light which features easy to prepare, low calorie Mexican dishes.
Kris joins us for two classes: August 19 and September 2. One class focuses on traditional dishes and one class on light cuisine. Both classes run from 12:30-4:00. Cookbooks will be available.
Class size is limited to 16 and early reservations are encouraged.
