This workshop includes all the basic information an entrepreneur will need to start a small business, including a self-assessment of strengths and weaknesses, the advantages and disadvantages of the various legal structures, sales and employee tax responsibilities, and sources of financing. This session will also include a Citibank representative to discuss financing a small business, credit scores, etc.  Pre-registration required.

 

Business Planning Part 1: Overview & Marketing Section

provides a basis from which to project operating expenses. This session will explain the element of the

Business Planning Part 3: Financial Section

Financial Reporting is a critical component of the Business Plan. Understanding how to use financial reports is also important in managing your business. This session will review Business Financial Statement, the Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statement. We will explore creating a Financial Toolbox that will include: Cash Flow Forecasting, Budgeting, Breakeven Analysis and Sensitivity Analysis. This session would also include a discussion by a Citibank representative on the importance of a business plan and what key issues a banker looks for. Pre-registration required.
