Second Annual Golf Tournament
You are invited to the 2nd Annual New England Chapter Employee Ownership Foundation Golf Tournament. We are offering you the opportunity to highlight your company by becoming a sponsor for our tournament and help us raise money for the Employee Ownership Foundation. The Foundation funds programs designed to expand employee ownership by increasing public awareness of the benefits of broad-based employee ownership through employee stock ownership plans.
This is an 18-hole event. The format of play is a best shot/scramble. Each member of the team tees off and the team selects the best of these four shots. Everyone hits their second shot from that location. This continues for each shot of the round. At the conclusion of your round, please turn in your scorecard to the scorer's table. If you are the last team we also ask that you bring back the longest drive and closest to the hole markers. There are also contests and prizes on select holes. After golf, there is a reception. The prizes will be awarded during the social hour.
11:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Join Hiker and Guide Dave Fitz-Gerald on a Hike to the Summit, Elevation 4241 Feet
Our journey will begin a short 3 minute drive from the Killington Grand. We will combine two trails, the Warbler and Summit trails. Combined, the round trip distance is 4.4 miles and the vertical ascent is 1640 feet. This trail is rated “moderate” which means that the climb is fairly continuously uphill with occasional “rest” sections and steep pitches are common. This trail features grand views. We will meet at the Hotel’s front door at 11:00am and carpool to the trail head. Your trail guide will carry overpriced luxury snack items, FBO the EOF of course!
For those interested in more of a “stroll” there is a .7 mile loop around the pond and a 1.3 mile hike up Snowshed Mountain, elevation 2725 feet with a vertical ascent of 580 feet. These hikes originate at the Killington Grand. These are presented as “hike on your own” options. More information about these hikes is available at the Hotel’s front desk.
6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Networking Reception at Killington’s Umbrella Bar
This reception is open to all. Whether you have just completed a round of golf, hiked one of the many trails, or would like to take an early opportunity to meet your fellow conference goers, join us for hors d'ouvres and beverage at the Umbrella Bar.
