Zumbathon "Dance for Life" is a VELAS Lighthouse Fundraising Event at the East LA Civic Center to Benefit Families Affected by Cancer. Pre-register by 10/12/12 for ONLY $20. Registration fee is $25 starting 10/13/12. Join Zumba So Cal Celebrities and GET YOUR ZUMBA ON!

Proceeds from this event will go directly into supporting VELAS LIGHTHOUSE PROGRAM which fulfills a great need for families affected by cancer. It is a known fact that most fundraising efforts for cancer are for research only. At VELA, we value the patient's quality of life and believe that the stability of the entire family is extremely important to enhancing, prolonging and even saving lives.

We provide direct support for those families battling this tragic disease: nutritional resources for those going through chemotherapy, assistance with the home by providing handy work, vouchers for food, language assistance in understanding treatment and some bereavement support. We also support families with special needs on a case by case basis.

There is so much more that we can do to help these families!
