25th Annual “Puttin’ On the Dog” Festival
Sunday, September 23rd, 2012
Adopt-A-Dog, Inc. is a nonprofit animal placement agency dedicated to finding homes for adoptable dogs and cats. Since the agency was founded in 1981, it has placed thousands of animals, and for all these dogs and cats medical attention, spaying/neutering and grooming is rendered prior to adoption as needed.
The annual “Puttin’ On The Dog” fundraising festival for Adopt-A-Dog is the agency’s primary fundraiser. As those who have attended previously know, this is a truly special event. Although the focus of the day is on the dog show (with classes such as “Best Dressed”, “Best Lap Dog”, “Best Tail Wagger”), there are many other attractions including dogs and cats for adoption, various food vendors, craft and sales booths, clowns and entertainers, a silent auction and grab bag booth, etc. It is a tremendous day for those who love children and dogs. Our event is usually the largest in Greenwich, with around 6,000 attending.
And for all these goings-on, lots of volunteers are needed!
If you would like to help with this year’s effort, please click the register now button below and answer the questionare. Every effort will be made to accommodate your interest and available time.
