November Weekend 2012

WHO: Open to all youth in grades 6-9 and their adult advisors

DATES: November 16-18, 2012

TIMES: Check-in is 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday.  Departure is 11:00 a.m. on Sunday.

LOCATION: Virginia United Methodist Assembly Center in Blackstone, VA

FEE: $115.00

ABOUT: Make new friends at this fall retreat at the Virginia United Methodist Assembly Center in Blackstone, VA!  November Weekend includes music, games, activities, socials, small group discussions and amazing worship!

ACCOMODATIONS AND MEALS: Sleeping accomodations are dormitory rooms with attached baths.  All linens are provided.  Meals on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday are included.  Dinner is not provided on Friday night, but we will have snacks in the evening.

ABOUT YOUTH EVENTS: Youth programs in the Episcopal Diocese of Southern of Southern Virginia are designed to offer a variety of opportunities for a diverse pool of youth.  All programs seek to form disciples of Jesus through worship, fellowship, education, service and wellness. 

Episcopal Youth Community: EYC is the usual name for youth groups in the Episcopal Church, both at the parish and diocesan levels.  In the Episcopal Diocese of Southern Virginia, seasonal weekend retreats are offered for both Junior and Senior High youth.  These events are largely designed by the EYC Board, a group of Senior High youth who have been selected to serve as leaders in the community.  EYC weekends provide a special opportunity to make connections to the wider Episcopal Church in a welcoming, positive, energetic and faith-filled environment.
