Enhancing your communications in an increasingly social, mobile and online world

Engaging social media audiences in conservative business environments, measuring the return on investment for digital marketing and social media efforts and insider tips on using Facebook, LinkedIn and content marketing highlight the topics at the Fourth Annual Emerging Media Summit presented by IABC Kentucky and the Louisville Digital Association Thursday, Oct. 4 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Louisville.

The Emerging Media Summit is the premiere annual social media learning event in Louisville, featuring top flight speakers, with the goal of energizing your social media marketing and communications efforts.

While it’s true that there are many additional considerations for companies in highly regulated industries, more and more businesses are finally starting to figure out ways to leverage social technology. Shannon Paul, Vice President of Social Media for Fifth-Third bank  will lead attendees through a discussion of building community and engaging audiences in conservative environments.

Nichole KellyMeasurement Up: Finally Deliver Measureable Social Media ROI - Think social marketing is worth it? Prove it. If your CEO hasn't demanded that yet, they will. Then what?  Nichole Kelly of SME Digital, will give you simple step-by-step techniques for creating measurable strategies and getting the data to prove they deliver.

 Dennis YuFacebook Marketing Magic - Dennis Yu, CEO of Blitzlocal covers Facebook. So now you have a lot of fans. But what are they worth, how do you integrate Facebook with your other marketing efforts,  which tactics work in which combinations to solve particular challenges, and how do you convince your peers of the value in word-of-mouth marketing? 

Patti HobbsCrisis Communications in a Social World - Patti Hobbs, Director of Strategic Communications for UPS Airlines will present a crisis communications case study that includes advice on handling a crisis in a socially connected world.  

 

Aaron PerlutMaking Communications Memorable - Aaron  Perlut,  a partner in Elasticity will share online and offline examples of memorable communications.

  • Ben Loetz of Verizon Wireless will cover the latest in connected technology.

Rounding out the day’s topics will be a breakout workshop led by Groves, Social Media Explorer CEO Jason Falls, Nick Huhn of Bandy Carroll Hellige and Jason Loehr from Brown-Forman that will cover managing the social media streams and workflow, becoming a LinkedIn ninja, using Google Analytics and understanding Facebook’s new advertising options.
