A sociologist and happiness expert at UC Berkeley's Greater Good Science Center, Christine Carter, Ph.D. is the author of Raising Happiness: 10 Simple Steps for More Joyful Kids and Happier Parents. Known for her parenting and relationship advice, Carter has helped thousands of parents find more joy in their parenting while raising happy, successful and resilient kids. Parents who teach and practice foundational skills for resilience and emotional intelligence raise happier kids and are happier themselves. Happiness habits also dramatically increase the odds that children will succeed socially, academically, even athletically!

The Lamorinda familycenter offers opportunities for parents and children to spiritually recharge before starting the week of school and other obligations. The Lamorinda familycenter also offers resources to assist parents and grandparents as we strive to raise centered and resilent kids. Opportunities for fellowship, education, support and mission service teach children to care for those in need. We invite families of all ages and types to attend these events focused on raising and supporting faithful families.
