The 2012 North Bay Investor Summit (NBIS) is the preeminent gathering of the angel and venture capital community north of the Golden Gate. The goal is to bring together investors and entrepreneurs looking for funding. It was created to foster collaboration among angel groups, as well as to reach out to the larger investment community. A total of $9M has been raised by companies after presenting at previous Summits! This event is a unique opportunity for entrepreneurs to gain experience pitching to investors and there is real potential for getting funded. For investors, it's a great venue to discover the next big idea and get in on the ground floor!

NBIS is a North Bay iHub event - organized by SMBC, Keiretsu Forum and the North Bay Angels. Attendance is limited to presenters and accredited investors only.

In previous years, NBIS has showcased some incredible cars including Tesla, Fisker, Saba Motors' Carbon Zero Roadster, Aston Martin, Jaguar and Lotus, to name a few. Past Expos have granted attendees an exclusive opportunity to test drive a Tesla Roadster and Fisker as well as electric-assist mountain bikes from Kleenspeed!

This year the NBIS is offering hot laps to Summit attendees from Emotive Racing at Sonoma Raceway! Be sure to purchase your hot lap when you register to attend!

NBIS presents the opportunity to taste some of California's finest expressions of Cabernet Sauvignon. The announcement of this year's premium and exclusive offerings will be coming soon. Previous wine sponsors have included Amapola Creek, Eric Ross, Michel-Schlumerger, Robert Hunter, Deerfield, Freemark Abbey, St. Francis, Verite and Stonestreet.

Attendees will comprise 100+ angel and venture capital investors from across the Bay Area. This is an exclusive event and attendance is limited. Register now to ensure your place.
Invitation is extended to accredited investors only. For the definition of an “accredited investor”, visit  www.sec.gov/answers/acred.htm.

The NBIS will feature ten high-quality investment opportunities in innovative companies from the North Bay and Greater Bay area. Companies that present at NBIS are typically in their seed or A rounds and are looking to secure funding in the range of $250K to $1.5 million.

Randy WilliamsRandy Williams founded the Keiretsu Forum in September 2000, to provide a disciplined and structured approach to private equity investing. Randy's passion for investing and bringing together like-minded community leaders has created powerful and giving environment for entrepreneurs. Since its inception, Keiretsu Forum has expanded to twenty five chapters on three continents. With over 850 members, Keiretsu Forum is the largest global angel investment community. Since 2000, Keiretsu Forum members have invested over $300M in 350 companies in technology, real estate, healthcare/biotech/life sciences and other sectors of the economy with high growth opportunity.

Randy has 30 years of experience in finance, real estate, and marketing. He currently holds board and advisory positions in eight companies. Randy was President of Pacific Union Commercial Brokerage, founder of the LaMorinda Bank, and Managing Director of Kennedy-Wilson International, an international real estate investment company.

Randy is also the founder of the Keiretsu Forum Charitable Foundation. Since its inception in 2001, 112 deserving charities have been granted sizable donations.

He is an avid Master swimmer, holding past Master's World Records. He was also an All-American Water Polo player at UC Berkeley. He lives in Orinda with his wife Maile and their two children, Ford and Summer.

Mr. Williams will be joined by Max Shapiro, founder of People Connect Staffing, for a "Fireside Chat" on lessons learned from 10,000 business leaders who have presented their business plans to Keiretsu Forum over the past 12 years. Over the course of their chat, Randy and Max will examine a few case studies that focus on what has worked (and not worked) for invevstors and entrepreneurs over the last decade.

The dynamics of the Angel capital investment world have changed dramatically over the past decade and randy and Max have been there every step of the way. Both have been industry leaders in teh expansion of deal flow - bringing more companies to light and giving more entrepreneurs a showcase for their ideas thru sponsorship of programs such as Jump Start, Ignite, Eureka and Pitch Me Green.

Join us for NBIS on October 30th for what promises to be an enlightening and stimulating presentation.
