Driving Directions 

Approaching Arkansas State University from Johnson Ave., turn on North Caraway Road.  The Eugene Smith building is on the left across the road from the parking garage.  There is a sign to identify the front of the building.  Park in the parking garage, in any available visitor parking space marked with a blue "V" and cross the street to the Smith Building.

Knitting for Beginners

Knitting for Beginners  Get started with a simple project that teaches basic stitches, how to read a pattern, how to select the right yarn and the appropriate tools to use.  This class meets twice a week to allow beginners to learn under skilled supervision to make their first project easy and fun.   Knitting is a great hobby with the versatility of creating a variety of pieces.

(Monday & Thursday, October 29, November 1, 5, 8, 12 & 15,  6-7:30 p.m., $49, ASUJ, Smith 205, Instructor: Marian Peeler) 

Supply ListStudents should bring to class a pair of straight or circular knitting needles, size 6, 7 or 8, to class the first night.

  

 

Class Project:  Students will learn how to make a scarf with basic stitches and versatile design elements.  A list of project supplies will be given in class.
