Please plan on attending RDI's next event, Thursday, October, 25th from 6:30-9:00 at Dan Binford & Associates, Cincinnati, Ohio.  Complimentary beverages and appetizers will be provided.  Members are free and please bring a guest. We are excited to present to you our Guest Speaker Mark Kaner.

Mark Kaner is a nationally recognized expert known for providing unique, leading-edge, energy-saving lighting solutions focused on creating a positive and exciting retail experience.  He built a career in lighting and has done extensive work with retail design and architectural firms.  In 2003, Mark launched the National Accounts division of Western Extralite Company.  Since then he has collaborated with many retailers and design firms on prototype and brand image designs.

Many of Mark’s retail projects have received awards from Chain Store Age Magazine as well as the Association for Retail Environments and the Retail Design Institute.  In recent years Mark has also designed projects for the hospitality and health care industry. Mark is Lighting Certified from the National Council on Qualifications for the Lighting Professions and has a BS/BA from the University of Missouri-Columbia College of Business.

Mark's presentation is titled Retail Lighting Design for a Green World and will explore the art and science of lighting design.
