The 17th Annual Northampton County Holiday Sampler Tour continues its tradition of treating our guests to all the sights, sounds and tastes of local fare this holiday season in historic Cape Charles, Virginia.

In celebration of the Holidays, we are once again collaborating with the Palace Theater to bring you “Fabulous Fifties.” Along with the usual savory food at each of the six historic locations and luminaries guiding the way, this year we offer fun filled skits that will take you back in time; it is sure to be an evening of entertainment.

Cape Charles is nestled on the banks of the Chesapeake Bay. Rich in history, this was the premier town on the East Coast when the “rail was king”. Boasting a wide variety of architectural styles from the late 1800’s and early 1900’s, this community offers a glimpse into the past while looking forward to the future.

This year marks the tour's 17th year.  It began in 1996 in Cape Charles as a fundraising event for the Chamber and local non-profits.  Over the course of the past 16 years, this event has touched the lives of many with its contributions of approximately $90,000 to the people of our community and even to the four-legged friends we love.  Organizations receiving funds have spanned the range from the arts and education to sports and every other imaginable area in between.

Eastern Shore residents as well as guests who visit the Shore just for this event eagerly anticipate this annual sell-out evening of 500 attendees along with 150 volunteers who make the evening magical. Historic Cape Charles will come alive with local folklore, holiday decorations, and the usual warm hospitality.

We invite you, please come and experience a taste of yesterday in a present that cherishes tradition.
