Patent Law Reform, Intellectual Property and Your Business

America Invents Act - patent reform workshop

Come join us for this two hour seminar about the Leahy-Smith America Invents Act.

The America Invents Act (AIA) is United States federal legislation that was passed by Congress and was signed into law by the President on September 16, 2011. The law represents the most significant change to the U.S. patent system since 1952. The law will switch U.S. rights to a patent from the present “first-to-invent” system to a “first inventor-to-file” system for patent applications filed on or after March 16, 2013. These are changes you need to know about.
