5K Walk Overview
7:00am Registration Opens @ Northeast Plaza. Event T-shirts will be available for sale for $10. Please bring checks or cash.
Please carpool! Drop-off your group at Northeast Plaza Shopping Mall; then drive to Plaza Fiesta (4166 Buford Highway) and park in the parking lot facing Clairmont Rd. A shuttle will take you back to the starting point.
7:45am Teams and participants assemble at starting line
8:00am - 5K WALK BEGINS - HHCGA and local personalities, GA Tech Cheerleaders, Fitness instructor Marcelo Vasquez and event sponsors will open the event.
Plaza Fiesta: We enter Plaza Fiesta parking lot from Dresden Dr. Continue to visit our exhibitors and take your picture with our event banners. Sign petitions/postcards to make Buford Highway safer for pedestrians.
9:00am El Patron with On-Air Talent Cristina Galloza will be playing music and helping us entertain you.
9:30am General announcement and recognition of sponsors, exhibitors and teams. Fitness camp with Trainer and Spin-Fit CEO Marcelo Vasquez will be showing you creative and fun ways to exercise. Open to all families.
9:45am The Salsa Club @ GSU will be dancing some salsa, everybody is welcome to join!
12:00pm Event adjourns.
