Palm Beach Training: Human Trafficking & Children in State Care

As recent news stories have made clear, children in out-of-home care are particularly vulnerable to being lured into domestic minor sex trafficking. Unaccompanied immigrant children are vulnerable to both labor and sex trafficking.  Increased awareness is the first step in shaping a system of care that prevents trafficking and appropriately serves children who have been victims of trafficking. This training will help participants understand:

 a.   Red Flags and Warning Signs – How To Identify Potential Trafficking Victims

 b.   Best Practices to Prevent Youth from Getting Trafficked

 c.    Services for Trafficking Victims – Treatment Not Punishment

Who Should Attend:

Attorneys, GALs, Caseworkers, Supervisors, and other individuals who work directly with youth.

TRAINING REGISTRATION IS CLOSED

This training has received an overwhelming amount of interest and we had to close registration due to room capacity. However, many who register may not attend, so we welcome you to come to the training, keeping in mind space will be tight. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you there!
