Adobe Home Tour 

You are invited to a special tour of four unique adobe homes and gardens.

Escondido has a large collection of adobe homes. The well known Weir Bros. construction company speciailized in adobe block homes with unconventional featuers. The Adobe Block Company was also based in Escondido, so many other contractors worked occassionally with adobe blocks, as did owner / builders. 

Three of the homes on this tour were built by Weir Bros., including one home built for a Weir family member. The other home on the tour, seen above, was built by an owner / builder. The four homes each boast interesting architectural features. Exterior features including gardens, pools and fountains further distinguish each property.

 After the tour, take your program to Hacienda de Vega restaurant on event day, October 14, for a  free maragarita or soda.
