Level II: Sock Puppets Designed as a follow up to the the Level I session, this workshop is will delve deeper on using puppetry to support emergent literacy skills and address in-class issues such as shyness and aggression.
Level II: BIG Puppets and Performance Giant puppets are wonderful ways to introduce pageantry and performance. This workshop is designed to give educators hands-on training in using both forms of puppetry as interactive tools for learning.
Level I: We Have Puppets! Now What?? (Spring Edition) The session is designed to give early childhood educators hands-on training in using puppetry as an interactive tool for learning.
Drama in the Early Childhood Classroom Learn tools and strategies for creating a school skit in the classroom or on a stage. Put together a theatrical production with less stress and great success!

This workshop returns due to popular demand. The session is designed to give early childhood educators hands-on training in using puppetry as an interactive tool for learning.
What can I expect to gain from this workshop?
- Identify how puppets can be used to develop language skills, and address emotional and social challenges
- Develop basic skills needed to to be an effective puppeteer
- Learn the unique needs and demands of different puppets
Participants will work with a variety of puppets, including the basic sock puppet and the more sophisticated soft “muppet-like” puppet, and will touch on the large three-person Chinese dragon-esque puppets.
