What Is The Wild Game Feast?
If you are picturing a bunch of camo-clad rednecks dancing around a fire pit chewing animal bones, forget it. Most attendees at this event are pretty normal. Yes, we cook animals. Partly because they taste good but mostly because it provides the perfect setting for the last remaining all stag event in North Atlanta. Camo is optional. You don't even have to be a hunter to get in.
And don't worry about the price either. This event is cheap. A $25 donation gets you some great food and entertainment and the leftover proceeds go to beneift the Foundation For Outdoor Kids. Just $10 more and its all the beer you care to enjoy. Cigars? Bring 'em. Your favorite libation? Of course. A huge appetite? Required! That way you can enjoy dishes like chipotle fish tacos, stewed venison steak, deep fried alligator tail, and smoked wild boar sausage. Put your woes behind for a night. No dressy attire. No kids. No dates. No bullshit.
We've been doing this for eight years and it keeps getting better. This year we added singer-songwirter Daniel Lee Martin as the Live Entertainment! He is perfect for this event. Since you will join about 200 of your fellow critter-eaters we host the shindig at the Roswell River Landing on the Chattahoochee.
Each year you have a few things you must attend - opening day of baseball, annual Board of Director's meeting, your wife's sister's third wedding, and now the Wild Game Feast.
If you have never been then step up and see what the fuss is about. If you are a regular then bring a friend or two. It is totally worth cashing in a hall pass with the significant other. Guaranteed.
