Since the creation of the National LATINA Symposium in 2004, LATINA Style has been actively involved in efforts with the Department of Defense and all the military services engage in supporting Latinas serving in the military. We showcase the accomplishments of military heroes via our Letters from the Front column every month and our Annual Distinguished Military Service Awards Ceremony and Luncheon at the National LATINA Symposium in early September. This year, with the help of some of our Corporate Partners and with the guidance of our Military Advisory Board, we are launching a four city tour to help military veterans transition into the civilian workplace. 

We are proud to host this effort in San Antonio on Saturday, October 27th at the DoubleTree by Hilton San Antonio Downtown  (502 West Cesar E. Chavez Blvd. | San Antonio, TX 78207) with a conference specifically designed to prepare veterans and transitional active duty members for interviews and jobs in Corporate America. The sessions will include resume writing, interview tips, job boards and postings, the power of social media and networking. We have also incorporated a session for military spouses to learn on how to stay connected with their spouse while they are away. Spouses will also recieve valuable information on how to search for a job that best fits their needs.

Created in the spirit of empowerment for our nation's finest, we honor and celebrate their commitment and accomplishments and we look forward to provide them with resources for success.
